The Series leads up to the release of Hydronics Unlocked, our digital training course built to equip heating engineers to design, optimise and troubleshoot heating systems with confidence.

How the Series rolls out

The Series starts with a common misdiagnosis and explains why it’s wrong, before introducing the simple rules that sit behind good hydronic design. As you go through, you’ll see it’s not as complicated as it first seems and that there’s a practical way to approach system design that you can get the hang of.

The first instalment will be released on Wednesday 20 May 2026, with a new instalments each Wednesday until Installer Show:

Week 1 - Is it ever the pump? - why logic leads you astray when diagnosing system problems.

Week 2 - Hydronics isn’t a dark art - learn the simple rules behind how water and heat actually move around a system.

Week 3 - One skillset, two technologies - understand how the same design process applies to both boilers and heat pumps with just one number change.

Week 4 - You need a tool for that - get introduced to a practical process for approaching system design without guesswork.

Week 5 - Heating Engineer, career of the future - see how system design skills are shaping the future of the heating engineer role.
